The Challenge: Delivering Cutting Edge Solutions to Faculty, Staff and Students In order to provide students and faculty with better overall service, a prestigious research institution purchased the Sallie Mae's Exeter Student Suite, and turned to Sallie Mae partner Exeter Group for customization and implementation. Previously, the institution relied upon a complex and outdated mainframe system for its administrative needs. In order to reap the rewards from the old system, the faculty and student body had to spend a taxing amount of time on administrative tasks. As a leading research school, it was critical that the new system relieve faculty and students of administrative burdens so they could focus on their main mission, research. The Exeter Solution The Exeter Group embarked on a two-year project to unify the school's admission, registration, financial aid, billing, housing, career management, and alumni departments enabling the university to reduce redundancies and communicate effectively.
Working closely with the school, Exeter implemented the new student system, which provided a unified platform that integrated the university's departments. So, for example, a student can now change their address with one department and rest assured that the change was made throughout the entire campus. Thanks to Exeter, the university now has an advanced, scalable platform that the school can build upon for years to come. |
