In order to provide its customers with better service and enable improved efficiency, a Global 50 electronics manufacturer and its partners decided to implement new industry standards introduced by RosettaNet, a consortium focused on delivering B2B interface processes for the electronic components industries. Applying the new standards would enable the Company to improve their competitiveness, efficiency, and speed by leveraging the Internet to automate critical business processes and the flow of information between partners, customers, and suppliers.

The company required a system that could facilitate RosettaNet communications and integrate seamlessly, easily, and quickly with its existing systems.

The Exeter Solution
To meet these needs, the client purchased Extricity's B2B for RosettaNet XML-based product and called in Exeter Group to assist with implementation and integration. The Exeter Group successfully completed the Extricity implementation in less than six months, including providing Java based interfaces to Company's mainframe systems. Exeter also linked the client to the world's largest distributor of electronic components and computer products using RosettaNet protocols.

The successful implementation enabled the client and its partners to benefit from an improved supply chain that is both easy to maintain and easy to extend.
