A Website for collectors to show off their collections, comment on other collections, and get independent, reliable price quotes sought a partner to design and implement a back-end system to support the site. The task was daunting. Pricing data for each collectable had to be obtained from numerous online and offline sources and then had to be sourced and tracked on a regular basis in order to provide accurate, up-to-date pricing information. Another facet to the challenge was the large number of individual collectibles - over 200,000 in 4 categories - each generating multiple price points.

The Exeter Solution
The Website teamed up the Exeter Group to get the job done. Exeter Group began by identifying and articulating the requirements of the project in a clear data model. Next, a methodology was implemented that created process maps, developed and delivered the module, and tested and trained personnel upon implementation of each new solution. The result is fully functional collectors community that not only offers collectors the ability to exhibit their collection and interact with other visitors but also delivers robust price information for dealers and collectors.
